Christmas Stories, Songs, and Characters: Microlearning with Sonlight

A Heart Willing to Change

In A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge begins as someone who thinks only about himself. His choices leave him feeling lonely and unhappy, even though he has plenty of money. But everything starts to change when he finally sees how his actions have affected the people around him and how much his selfishness has hurt others.

Have you ever had a moment when you realized something you did made someone else feel sad or left out?

Jesus invites us into that same kind of transformation. When we hold tightly to things like money, bitterness, or pride instead of holding onto Him, our hearts can grow cold. But when we turn toward Jesus, He softens our hearts and helps us become kinder, more joyful, and more loving toward others.

It is never too late for a heart to change. Today's podcast explores the story behind A Christmas Carol and what Scrooge can teach us about embracing the true spirit of Christmas.
